Beware of Scammers Using Arnold Machinery Company’s Likeness.

Please beware of scammers using Arnold Machinery Company’s likeness. There is a website called “Silver Forge Heavy Group” (https://silverforgeheavygroup.com/) posing as a legitimate company that has been using our likeness to appear as a brick-and-mortar business. The scammer is using our Silver Service® logo, which they have altered, and a fake Google address of 2279 Arnold Way, West Valley, UT 84119. The Google Maps image displayed with the address on their website is a photo of the back gate to our equipment yard with our Mining and Reman building in the background.

Silver Service® has been an Arnold Machinery Company registered trademark since 1986. “Silver Forge Heavy Group” is using our trademark without our permission which violates federal law. Our Silver Service® logo includes the name of our company “Arnold Machinery Company” in black font under “Silver Service” and includes the registered trademark icon ® in the logo. See below for our legal version of the logo. If you see any other company spelled out below the “Silver Service” wording, the logo has been altered without our permission.

The “Silver Forge Heavy Group” website does not have a Google Business Profile. This is a sure indicator they do not have a brick-and-mortar business in Utah. There are several ways customers are finding the scammer’s website such as the following:

1. The scammer is advertising as “Auction Used Heavy Equipment” to states outside of Utah on Facebook.
2. Beware of any Google searches for equipment similar to those listed on their website that pull up eBay listings under seller “wilsal99.”
3. If you come across listings that appear to be under Machinery Trader or Equipment Trader, please make sure these websites are spelled correctly. The scammer is using machinerytraderes.com and equipmenttraderes.com to advertise and link to their website. These are not the correct websites for these used equipment advertisers. The correct websites are MachineryTrader.com and EquipmentTrader.com.
4. Victims of this scammer are stating they have been speaking to “Jim” or “Dave.” Phone numbers associated with this scammer are 801-459-4954 and 801-675-8304. Do NOT call these numbers or answer phone calls from these numbers.

The “Silver Forge Heavy Group” is claiming to have all positive reviews but these reviews are links to false third-party review sites claiming to house the review. Most legit companies will have a Google Business Profile that houses their Google Reviews and will have real quotes from customers directly on their website, as we do on our website(s).

Other items of note to stay safe from scammers:

1. Legit businesses will not use a Gmail account as their contact email. Especially if they already have their own website domain name. A legit business email for a company with their own website would be “EmployeeName”@arnoldmachinery.com.
2. A legit business will have social media links on their website that link to their social media profiles. The social links on this scammer’s website only open to the public feeds on these platforms, not their own profiles.

If you have been a victim of fraud from this scammer or others, please report these instances to the Federal Trader Commission at https://reportfraud.ftc.gov/ and the Internet Crime Complaint Center at https://www.ic3.gov/ .
